I was going to have a nice quiet day tomorrow, but...

A friend of mine works at a local high school and is fundraising for the Calder VI Overseas Projects, which sends sixth form students (ages 16-18) to work on charity projects in developing countries. They're doing two trips this year, one to Uganda in a month or so, and one later in the year to Sri Lanka ( they were originally going to Nepal, but since the earthquakes they can't get insurance cover).

Anyway, tomorrow there is a sponsored abseil down the Royal Armouries building in Leeds, and someone has dropped out at the last minute. Rather foolishly I volunteered to step in (or, more literally, step off!) and fill the space.

So in about 12 hours from now I will be abseiling down the outside of a rather large building! I'm not really a fan of heights at the best of times, so really don't know how I got myself into this...

If anyone would like to make a donation, please comment below, send me a PM, or you can donate directly via PayPal to: evhartley@hotmail.com (this goes straight to the organiser, so please put 'JRB FOG' in the comment box so we know where it's from). I will post pictures, and possibly even a video of me doing this tomorrow.

Thanks in advance,

Jonathan
