Hi, everyone,
I'm a huge Domino fan and have had my 500 for several years now and find it excellent for doing rail and stile work with the cabinetry I do. I'd like to use it more for the curved work I do so much of... but as you can appreciate, the flat fence and base doesn't readily facilitate such work.
For some time now I've been thinking about mounting my Domino to a mortising table - you know, then ones Europeans use and that which Felder and other manufacturers have set up on their jointer/planers. That way, the Domino stays firmly mounted and the piece you wish to have jointed moved around and angled to where it's perfectly aligned, then I could plunge the Domino forward to mill the mortise.
Are any of you aware of such an arrangement, and if so, how well did it work out?
Your ideas and information are much appreciated!
Cheers,
