Obtained an old circa 1950s Boice Crane (made by Wilton) 15" drill press. Previous owner had passed away but these parts were included. Any idea what they might be used for?

I believe those are quill compression nuts - I've seen them on drill presses to hold the quill in a down position for things like a drum sander attachment.

The round pieces go in a hole and the two angled areas compress against the quill to hold it in place.

Make sense?
