Can someone enlighten my why would IKEA switch to 27mm offset for their system 32 holes.
I can't find any BLUM catalog items or any other system32 that is using 27, or anything else other than 37mm for that matter
It can't be due to reusing their hardware, I can just drill everything at 27 instead. Do they think it's stronger? Would it not be worse? The front pivot is closer to the front now and may be easier to top over pushing down on a drawer or cabinet door
Also front holes are closer to you and easier to see, and the back holes are further from the front if you need to adjust the little shelf hangers
