Indian Rosewood cost.

Just priced a    sheet of  9mm thick  hardwood  plywood  2.5m x 1.2m  veneered with  Indian Rosewood  and was  shocked by the price.
£624  plus the VAT.
Is it any cheaper  in  the USA?

I don't know what the US prices are, but I haven't seen a piece of Indian Rosewood at retail in the US for the last 15-20 years.  It's far more rare than stuff like ebony or snakewood.

I know Indian Rosewood got added to the CITES list as of January 1st. So the prices are thru the roof with needing permits to export and import the wood throughout the world.
