Hi All:
Does anyone know if the Extension Table TSB/1-MW 1000 for the Mobile Workshop will fit the infeed side of the CMS-GE like the Right Side Kapex UG wing will?

I've seen a few pictures of CMS-GE owners using the Kapex wing or creating their own infeed tables with Kapex wing parts, but just wondering if the Extension Table would be better given that I'd be able to pile stuff on it afterwards like all of my other workbenches.

Given the "system" culture of Festool, I'm assuming it will fit and end up the same height, but we all know what happens when one assumes. Any ideas?

Thank you in advance.

Never mind, found it on the Festool web site (should have looked first):

"The MW 1000 Extension Table is the perfect platform for working on the jobsite. The Extension Table can be combined with the Festool MFT/3 Table or CMS Router Table for additional workspace or material support."

Seems like a cheaper (by a $100) way to go than the Kapex UG wing, which isn't wide enough to hold very much when not in use.  Maybe that's a good thing.

It'll depend on the width of what you're wanting to run through the CMS; as in the MW table will support much wider stock but it'll also get in the way for thinner stuff like trim when compared to a UG wing. With the MW table connected as an infeed support you have to stand further away from CMS router fence where a UG wing lets you stand much more inline with it. The MW table could possibly (never tried it) be shimmied across a bit to allow you to stand more inline with the fence and is likely the more versatile option if you're working with wide pieces.

IIRC, the widest board I've run through the CMS with a UG wing for infeed support it was ~150mm / 6" and that was easy enough.

I use the extra table on the infeed side without difficulty.  One thing to be remembered is that the tables should be co-planar with the CMS top plate, and they're built to be adjustable, but one must make the effort to adjust and verify them to get the best quality jobs.
