I'm working on building our daughter a toddler bed and currently putting together the head board. This is my first project using Domino joinery and one thing I didn't take into account is the mounting of the caps to the head and foot boards and where the domino would go in relation to the ones that are holding the top rail in place. Is it an issue to cut partially into another Domino? Even at a 12mm plunge, it would just barely cut into the top of the tenon in the second picture that is on the right (it is sitting there to show the alignment, but it is plunged in 25mm on both the leg and rail). The top cap (bottom apparent) is only going to be plunged 12mm due to thickness of the wood.
