This is primarily aimed at our friends in Ireland…

My girlfriend and I are coming to the land of saints and scholars in September.
Flying into Dublin, and then taking a car around most of the southern half of the country.  Waterford; Tralee area; Galway area, and then back to Dublin for 3 days.  10 days total.

So, I’m looking for some recommendations of:
> activities / destinations  We are most definitely interested in castles, but also worthwhile things off the beaten tourist path.
> restaurants
> and, perhaps most importantly:  Festool suppliers!  I need brick & mortar places that have inventory on hand, since I can’t exactly pre-order.  I have some cravings for NAINA goodies.    [big grin]

Thanks in advance for any tips, advice, etc

I am sure you will have a great time, you could travel around the Ring of Kerry, I think the highlight is Skellig Michael a world heritage site just off the coast of Kerry and Killarney National Park.. There is always Blarney Castle just outside Cork, King John's Castle Limerick, Glin Castle limerick and Muckross House and Abbey in Killarney.  I cannot recommend a Festool dealer in that area, but on the food front there is O'Neils The Point at Rennard for superb seafood and the Moorings at Portmagee for meat and fish

On your way back from Dublin you could swing into Kildare and visit the national stud and then into our local festool dealer in naas.... tool equip... Google them... They always have a goodish supply in stock. Just watch out for the sheep if you coming around Kildare and curragh area they intend to wonder across the roads :D

Cant believe your going on a trip to the ' Land of the Leprechauan ' and no mention of  Black Gold !  [big grin]

my under standing is that you will travel
dublin- kilkenny- waterford

on your way through limerick there is a dealer joe mc kennas  , its a goot all around tool shop.
in galway . tripart  is a good shop . im not gone on their festool display. its not well displayed and stocked (out on the shop floor)

as for castles etc.
