With all the recent 'discussion' regarding Fetool Warranties and using other manufacturers accessories, it was quite ironic this afternoon when I noticed the following whilst sanding.

Gave me a quite a chuckle to think the equation was reversed!!  [big grin]

And yes, the dust extraction holes do match.

I think I have got this one covered, but just to make sure the Bosch sander has been thrown [attachimg=1] away!

Boy I hope so, I haved this sander since it first came out and used all sorts of different papers and screens,  but  the last time I did have to send a Makita tool in it was 35 years old and they didn't do the work under warranty,  but it only  cost a few  bucks to fix and they had the parts in stock  (not just 10 years ). By the way I really like this sander, had the older version of this tool and the Festooned version,  I like this one the best, great dust pick up and easy on the ears and arms.

Haven't you heard? If you use Festool consumables with your Makita tools and register with them they extend your warranty by nine and a half weeks.  [smile]

DB found this packet just now down in the Untidy Shop, now I am worried about everyone's (as in major tool manufacturers) warranties. [eek] [big grin]

Brent, certainly agree that this Makita 1/2 sheet is great. When I purchased it the budget could not stretch to Festool R2, and I got a staff discount where I work part time. More than happy, and the price difference has contributed to other Festools.
