I don't think anyone will have this knowledge since the "upgrade" or "fix" to the "no problem here" issue is fairly new.
New and repaired saws with the different motor haven't been in the field long enough to render a definitive answer on whether the motor will last a decade or longer under what most people consider normal use. Festool is not going to comment because they don't want their neck in a vice.
Given the track record and Festool's response/ non response I'd still say it's a crap shoot. If the front of saw adjustment feature, and dust collection are are of utmost value to you then it's prob worth the risk. At least until year three of ownership.
