It's been a work in progress - abrasives available in 10 packs. Phew!

Yep, been a long time coming and not yet fully completed, but I am offering sandpaper in packs of 10. Many, many moons ago, upon customer requests, I'd  break open those 50 and 100 packs, count em,' sort and ship. That was not too tough when I used to pack and ship from my shop in NJ, but it became somewhat hit and miss, since I no longer ship from my NJ shop and since quantities were individually customized, there were no skew numbers to easily work from.

Fast forward to now. I am now making available for sale almost all series of papers available in 10 packs. Platin will be in packs of 3.  Obviously, the 50 and 100 packs will remain, but for those needing a smaller amount of a particular grit, you have a choice. I had given thought of an assortment pack -  say maybe 2-5 sheets of all grits in a series, and/or a few sheets of each grit in all the series, but there were lots of permutations to consider and I still may consider that in the future, depending upon customer response, because that's another good alternative. But for now, rather than me deciding what grits you need, the choice is, I think/hope, simplified by offering virtually all the papers in large as well as small packs.

Currently, I have the 5" papers available and by the end of next week, the  abrasives for the RO 90, DX 93 and RO 150/ETS 150 sanders, followed by the rest of the sanders. For those asking, I thank you for your patience.
Here's a link to the 5" abrasives.

Don't have a RO 125, but I do have the 90 and 150.  Can't wait until those are available in 10 packs.  It would be nice to be able to afford all the grits in series then skipping grits do to cost.

Thanks guys. That's the idea, pick which papers work for you and if you are on the fence about a couple of grits, the 10 pack investment stings far less than the 100 packs.

Hi Bob,

I said in another thread that we could do with you in the UK - well good news - I am prepared to sponsor you on the Festool UK immigration scheme.

Festool abrasives last a long time and there are tons of choices. Getting packs of 10 (and eventually mixed packs) is a marketing strategy that Festool should have taken up themselves.

Well done Bob - so its not NAINA its NAIE or NAIUK !

Thanks Peter.

What scheme is that? My wife may be willing to co-sponsor. ;) ;D ;).

Festool has had 10 packs in a very select grits for some time now (originally 5 packs), but I don't know why they never offered the complete entirety of grits in smaller packs. They are doing that in the Rubin 2 for most sanders though.

Hi Bob, I have a RO125 and ETS125.  Which type of the abrasives would you recommend as I only sand bare wood?

Thanks,
Rob

Rob,

Sorry for the delay.
Rubin 2 is designed exclusively for bare wood.  However, Granat can be used on bare wood, painted or varnished wood, plastics, solid surface, etc.

Bob, will you ship to Hawaii?  I believe I was on your site looking for a sander, but I think it says you won't ship here.

Thanks,
Rob

Rob,

For the papers, I would need to check what the shipping charges would be.

Hey Bob! You're up early! Would you also consider variety packs for spindle sanders? Or, I guess that's a whole other can of worms? Thanks.

Yes,  sometimes  I am up early.
I only sell Festool abrasives though.

OKay, thanks for the reply.

Wish I had better news, but surely there' got to be a dealer out there selling abrasives for spindle sanders willing to do that.

I think you can put them in a USPS Priority flat rate box for the amount I want.  I'm not planning on getting too much.

Thanks
