Jessem Pow-R-TeK - Fails a second time Failed Speed Controller

Yes that will work fine, in fact simply wrapping it around the router body and tightening it up is all that's needed due to the amount of contact points. I did this exact same thing with my router lift a while back with no issue and no movement/slippage of the router.

My router lift is an ancient Jointech unit which is actually a version of the original JessemMast-R-Lift (not the Mast-R-Lift II). It is designed for 4.2 inch diameter routers like my PC 75282. I think I want to put a Milwaukee 5625–20 router in it but that router is 4.14 inches in diameter. Jessem used to sell a shim kit that would narrow the opening to fit the Milwaukee router but they no longer stock and sell it.
...
Does anybody any opinions about whether or not this will work?

I think the larger question would be around what you do with the micro-adjuster thingie:
[attachimg=1]

Because in looking how the older lift you have attaches, it gets in the way:
[attachimg=2]

Unless that extra hole in the clamp just happens to fit that, which seems odd, but I guess supportable.

And I know you don't have this lift, but I found it curious that  Incra says:
Milwaukee Routers are currently NOT compatible with the METRIC Mast-R-LiftII Router Lift, but they're awesome in the inch-based version. Stay tuned!

Which is weird because I bought an Imperial Mast-R-Lift II from Jessem several years ago, and upgraded it to metric a couple years ago, and nothing was swapped that would change router compatibility.

I have a 3.25 HP Bora router in my table. The first one I had died suddenly a couple months after the warranty period ended. I called Bora to discuss options to repair. They were very surprised it died and asked me some questions. During this one and only call to Bora they offered to send me a new router at no cost to me. They were terrific to deal with and I have had zero issues with the second router.

Thank you for that direct answer to my question. It's good to know that you have successfully done just what I was proposing.

It sure look like the extra hole might be exactly that - extra clearance for the micro-adjust post. I'll have to explore that.

Good to know in case I decide to go that route. Thanks
