Jig for Domino to work on 1/2" material

The Domino has a grudge against 1/2" plywood so I made this lil jig-a-ma-thing to adjust for depth of plunge and centering the mortise. It attaches with one screw and works great. Best part, you can make it out of scraps on the floor. Here's an example of the results.

What ate the thicknesses you wood you used?

My goal is to use 5mm dominos with 1/2 inch baltic birch.

I built this out of 1/2" Baltic Birch. Only took a few minutes. It'll allow you to plunge as shallow as 1/4" and less.

Thanks Bill great jig and solution, my first time with 1/2 inch I used some spacers with hot melt glue but I like this one it can be taken on and off.

Thanks Bill - nice idea!  Here's a further thought: you could make the vertical face taller to help keep the mortise perpendicular when cutting into the face of stock as your picture shows.

cool jig.  How do you line up your cuts? I see that the sight window and the reference pins are disabled with this thing.

Actually the window has a clear view of the line because this jig goes in front of the guide and has that "\___/" shape over the bit. I do find on dark wood it would work better using a white line but it's the same w/o using the jig too. On the box that the pictured panel goes on, I made all 10 Dominos a tight fit and it went together perfectly. One point here is that once again, a Biscuit or a dowell can not get these results. The Domino is the ruler of the land again. ;D
     One last point (Ok maby a few) ;D is that if the need for a jig like this arises, you don't have to have a machine shop make it, it's disposable when it wears out, you shouldn't even have to leave the shop and you can make it in about 10 minutes from a variety of scraps laying around the shop.  These facts make it a jig for every woodworker at any level (as long as you have a Domino )
