Hello everyone I want to start by introducing my self  My name is Eduard and I am trim carpenter my specialty is handrails, stairs. I am in the market for a Jointer .  A guy who one a wood shop is selling  Grizzly G9859 8" Jointer with power feeder he is asking $1300 for it. My question is dose any body had any experience with this machine or any body own one? Thanks for any Information.

Thanks for the info  I going to buy that Jointer you cant go wrong for  8"  3 Hp jointer with power feeder for $1300 and mobile base included.

I own a Grizzly 12 inch jointer.  It has carbide insert cutting head.  It cost about $2,500 with shipping.

It was perfectly aligned out of the box.

I am very happy with it.

I don't know the value of the particular power feeder, but $1300 seems a little high, at least in my kneck of the woods. It also depends on cutterhead, phase, and condition. I see 8" jointers in the $600-$900 range often. These are generally Powermatic 60s or Delta DJ-20s with a straigh cutter knife.
