I've tinkered with my set up over the years , making different inserts but ime happy with it now , was going to swap my screw clamps for a couple more ratchet clamps but it's handy to have both options , these are not my best chisels , I keep them for the shop rather than site work .

there's nothing like a well organized systainer.  looks like you packed a great deal in there. nice.

Yeah I like that type of set up, you can see at a glance if you have left anything behind. I use the open tool boxes (totes) quick to throwe you tools into but not so quick when your looking for something small like a nail punch.

I was going to make one of these but ended up buying a veto propac :) . A great tool bag that keeps everything well organized

Pretty nice, I keep saying I have to make one of those. Yours is pretty nice.

joiner, I was looking at one of those Veto pro bags, OT XL, I think it was, I was hoping they might go on sale as they are not cheap, which one did you get, let us know how the it works out.

The best such insert is one that you custom make for yourself.  I like yours.

About 10 years ago, I purchased the sys4 and insert sold by Festool and tried to make it work for me.  It didn't -but, after trying for 4 or 5 years, I was able to sell it for exactly what I had paid for it.

Since then, I have made a couple of sets of removable nesting trays and they work well.

But, seeing your design,  I think I will take a crack at building a similar (but very much customized) insert that I can keep stocked and ready to go for off-site small jobs.

Nice design. I like that. I have a pro pac stuffed with my electrical gear but think i will do this for my site handtools. I think it will be easier to move about between jobs on site.

I've got the xxl zip top best bag I've had but wish it had more gradual size pockets so you can keep chisels in order etc, it's heavy when full but the strap is good for that.
I've started using sys toolbox so don't have to take everything off the van

I bought the LC from a festool dealer near Watford called Taylor's tools. He keeps a few veto's in stock. I paid £117 which is expensive for a tool bag and put me off for years but I'm glad I went for it in the end. It's built to last and so much more organized compared to all the dewalt and Stanley bags I've gone through over the years.

I thought at first I'd got the wrong bag and it was too small but now I've used it awhile I've found its fine and fits everything I need for jobs. With my old bags I seemed to just chuck everything in it at the end of the day and it ended up a mess. With the veto its a much better layout so easier to put things away right and quickly.

Thanks Joiner & Andyman,
That was just the type of feedback I was looking for, I'll probably have to order one online, so i'm trying to re search as much as I can on the Veto pros up front.
Unfortunately there will be " No all inclusive I've changed my mind can I have my money back  guarantee" on the bag.
So the Plan is to spill out all my hand tools and get rid of any doubles and just in case tools. Try and get back to basics with the new bag and then launch the old Stanley in the dumpster. The old bag is time served and owes me nothing for what it cost.

If it helps, Veto have an offer on at the moment (until the end of June) Buy a Tech-LC, Tech_XL or a Tech-Pac and send a copy of your invoice to receive a FREE MB. Your local dealer should have details.

Call me autistic but.... I like having a place for everything. Maybe I'm a bit silly putting stuff away like I've got a problem, unable to leave it out, but I don't spend all my time searching for any of it! I'm intrigued by these inserts that people make. I have a bucket that I made a poplar handle for, comfort, but dust can fall into an open container all the time. It is highly accessible however. But for packing stuff around, one like this would be much more convenient...
