As we all know, the prices of Festool's products will rise February 1. That clock is ticking fast.
One of the tougher challenges most dealers is managing stock levels to best match demand - too much stock and $$ is tied in items sitting on the shelves, too little and items are out of stock, having to be flagged with "items on backorder." Price increases always are always tough to gauge properly. Lots of other variables - even having to due with weather affecting deliveries. Anyhow, I'm getting some huge deliveries delivered in today and more next week. Enough inside baseball stuff; the bottom line is that any order placed before February 1, EVEN IF ON BACKORDER, you will be charged that 2012 price, not the 2013 price, regardless of when it ships. So, nearing month's end, if you see something on backorder and still want to place your order with me and have the patience to wait until in stock, you are protected price wise.
This is not specific to me and my store; I'm thinking most dealers have the same policy; but wanted to get it out there.
