Okay, I am just joining this Forum, and I just bought a BUTTLOAD of Festools.  We basically Festooled up.

Here is what we got.

The TS55 EQ, along with every guide rail system, and the table, and everything you could buy with it to make it preform awesome
Then we got the Cleantex CT 36 E---the big one.
And the OF 1400 EQ Router with all the accessories and the guide system

Oh, we also got the fully loaded Fien multimaster.

We have a huge learning curve on this stuff.  And we are going back for the Jigsaw.

Happy Christmas to me!

Let me know what you think

Congratulations. I would hold your horses on the jigsaw as there is a new model hitting North America in 2011. I would add a rotex to the line-up and then you are all set to go.

Enjoy the tools and welcome to the FOG.

You have a nice start on the tools!

You should look at some of their sanders next (after your pocketbook recovers).... When you have the budget again, I would recommend the following:
1. ETS/3 150
2. Rotex 150
3. DTS 400

I have all 3, and they complement each other nicely!

hi ,im the other half of hcbertsch.  cant wait to get this system in place and oppertional in the field. we do mobile millwork and are really wxcited to be making this leap in the tool world

[welcome] [welcome] [welcome] to all three first time posters here!
This must be a modern day record!  Three first time posters in one thread!

We?  Who is this we?  You and your wife?  A business?  Your kids?  Dog?  That's quite a haul. Domino, Kapex, sanders and you should be good to go.

Hope business is good. your tax account must have told you to spend or give it too Uncle Sam.

Buy the Bosch Jigsaw, not too many advantages to the Festool over it.  In fact, the Bosch Jigsaw (1591) has self-adjusting blade guides - one button adjusts to any width blade.  The Festool trion, you have to use little allen head set screws to adjust them when changing from a heavy blade to a lighter one.

Don't get me wrong, all that Green and black stuff is worth it, but not the jigsaw IMO.  I've had two, d-handled and the barrel grip and sold them both after using them next to my Bosch.

Can you elaborate a bit on your business - mobile millwork?

I'm assuming it's not millwork in mobile homes  [wink]... or maybe it is  [unsure]

Jon and I (Holly) do mobile millwork---mostly custom cabinets and what not.  Our warehouse burned to the ground so we had insurance windfall and decided to go with the best of everything this time.  He wanted a more portable way to cut ply and 1x....

We can't wait to use the tools!

Welcome to the FOG!  I think you will really like your new system and joining the FOG is a great idea for someone new to the tools - lots of knowledgeable, helpful folk here.

My one piece of advice is to hold onto a bit of green for still more accessories.  Festool accessories are vast and not always obvious.  Four years into Festool and I still have "DOH - is that what that does?  Gotta have it" moments.

And especially, congrats on making the best of adversity!  That fire may turn out to be a real blessing.

That is a good point Jessie...I have the catalog and plan on going through it all and checking everything out...

You could double your investment just on accessories for your OF1400 if you bought bits as well.

Kevin, you have that absolutely correct!

I own a few non-Festool and 8 Festool routers, yet I know the various router bits cost several times my investment in routers.

Mind you, I am not including the value of the really high speed special bit used on my CNC router.

I would also suggest watching out for when the Festool classses are being conducted.  See the "How to" thread.  That way you can really get up to speed fast

HI Holly and John,
