A job I installed a while ago and chronicled on the Fog (I can't seem to find the original post) just won "HGTV's People's choice best kitchen" last night at KBIS.  The kitchen also placed second in the Large kitchen category in the Ktichen and Bath Design News competition.

So congrats go to the designer Bryan Reiss of Distinctive Design,LLC!

Unfortunately, there are no awards for Best Kitchen Installer (yet)!

Thanks guys!  In fairness, I did receive a decent bonus after that job (which easily paid for the RAS and Trion I had purchased for that job, with plenty left over.)

I wish I could find the original post, that job was a blast, not to mention a bit nerve wracking.

Congratulations!
Feels kind of good when some like that happens!

The biggest thing that we won,was the "HOME-A-RAMA" show that we have once a year.I think we won 3 or 4 time for best kitchen.
 
Thanks guys.  It's the first time I've been involved in a kitchen that's won or even placed.  Keep trying not to pat myself on the back, and failing miserably! :)

That is some great news.  I'm glad that Mr. Reiss so readily shared credit with you.  Hang onto that guy. 

I've installed a few jobs that were similarly recognized, but only I found out by accident.
Except one time when the designer told me that she would be the center piece of a big spread in a national magazine, and I could probably still get a copy at the grocery store check out line. ( this was while I was in her showroom looking at a freshly delivered stack of the same magazines)

High praise coming from you.  I look at your work, just shake my head and think, "There's no way I could do that". Glad you live in a different state.
