Hi All,

Just got my Kapex 120 today. Playing with the angle finder, I found extending the blades is very though (new maybe?). I can extend one side (takes some force), but the other not at all. Is there a trick to this (don't want to force it)? Or should I put a bit some (which one?) lubricant between it?

One other thing. The previous KAPEX had a place to store the angle finder, that's gone? [eek]
Found it, they moved it behind the saw. Now thats not really convenient, but at least it has a place. Mine got loose through transport I guess. So wasn't that obvious, just checked the manual  [embarassed]

Thanks all!

Hello,

I am anxiously awaiting this saw to be available in the USA, so I don't have one yet, but there's a pic on the international website that indicates where the angle finder is stored:

I hope this helps.

Yes the angle finder is stored at the rear now, because of the base extensions.
My right side protractor edge, is slightly stiffer to move than the left but, they both move fairly easily.
There are small posts on them for your thumb to push them. They should free up, you don’t want them too loose though.

Also be careful if you’re mobile with the saw, the protractor seems to come out of it’s rear housing easier than the previous side storage.

Powdered graphite (pencil shavings) makes a lovely non dust-attractive dry lube for metallic & plastic mating surfaces.  First "discovered" in Primary School for fine adjusting slide rule slides, used successfully ever since.

Mine as-well (right), but to the point that by normal 'hand force' I can't move it. Cut my thumb doing so (on the post) [blink] I will try some graphite.
