When I found out that the 'built-in calculator' in the supplemental manual only seemed to work with Acrobat Pro, I decided to recreate it in Excel. It should also work with Open Office and Numbers if those are your preference, but I haven't tested it.
Here is a screenshot from the inline calculator:

* The error displayed is slightly different in mine because the number entered for the 'right width' was .5625, not .563. Excel rounds the displayed number up to .563, but uses the actual number for calculation. It appears that the built-in calculator uses the rounded number, since when I enter .563 for the 'right width' in my calculator I get a result of .09 (actually .0903).
