I will get some better pictures but really liking this setup. I don't have room to dedicate to 14' of miter bench and if I did I would probably have stuff piled on it  [crying]

So I installed my new Kapex on a slide where I can pull it out easily if I want to run the fence extensions. I have a couple 5/16 studs with knobs that lock in it place. Rails hang on wall and clip on with one pin to the Kapex adapters.

Fastcap has tweaked this thing since introduction and in my opinion made some really nice improvements.

I need to try their crown adapters and see how they work as I have a crown project coming up.

Hey Rich, I am curious about this.  I have been looking at the Fastcap best fence for a while and I am 99% in love with it, but needed to see how it handles crown molding?  It isn't a tall fence, and I see that they used to carry an attachment that goes on the back of it to support tall crown, but have you tried it yet?  If so, did you make an adhock solution (i.e. - a couple of bench mounted wings to take the vertical part of the crown?

let me know how you got along on this...

cheers.  Bryan.

I have the same setup, except in a portable format, that I use all the time for various size of crown. I clamp on a small piece of plywood to the base for my spring angle and hold the crown with my hand against the fence. 16' is sometimes a little hassle waving off of the extensions, but I dont see any need for additional support on the Fastcap rails especially with 12' or shorter pieces. I love this setup.

I'm liking the pull-out slide idea - mind if I steal it?

Feel free to steal it wow. Bryan sorry for delayed response. I have not used the crown setup to give you a solid review. Just played with it.  I think the saw fence is adequate support. But will find out.
