I was watching an episode of TOH this evening (Green Monster Victorian Home in Newton, Mass.) and thought I spotted a Kapex (along with a Hitachi SCMS).  Possible?

Thanks,
Chuck

He being.........................Tom Silva?

I see Tom using quite a few Festool tools on various "House" programs.

Hmm, I live a few blocks from there and saw the trucks at the house one day several months ago.  Don't know if they're done with the project but might have to mosey on over...

I'm waiting to find somebody who's unhappy with their Kapex who wants to trade for my Bosch :)

For the sake of science and WTF, If you pay all shipping both ways and it's reversible, I will. but how you get 240V I really don't know.

FTR- Not even remotely unhappy w/Kapex, Happy New Year!@@#$%^$%@!#$^%&^&(&^%$#@#!# ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

Thanks Eli :)  But you're right, the supply voltage would be an issue.

I'll just have to hope one of the US guys gets sick of his :)

Is he a tester for the kapex and will write a review for TOH magazine or...  Just curious about why he gets one early other than he's on tv.

I watched a episode of Ask this Old House and on one project Tom Silva used a DX 93 Festool sander to do spots on a hard wood floor.

The person was refinishing her kitchen hard wood floor.

Lethal Weapon reference?

Well that was diplomatic immunity. For diplomats. All they get is good plane tickets and the diplomatic pouch.

Cinematic immunity is the ability to get things cheap, free, or first, drive places you aren't supposed to and get out of speeding tickets when you film in small towns. Also will automatically get you laid in any place with a population of less than 10,000 and fewer than five bars, whichever. Applies to anyone remotely linked with film or television production.

I watched this morning on TOH and got another close up of the Kapex.  Tom Silva was using it to cut moulding for some woodwork he was replicating.

Well, it's good marketing for Festool.  They ramp up the excitement while presumably waiting for UL approvals, then, presto, the tool comes to the U.S. market and all kinds of people are just breathless waiting to spend their money.  Most of us aren't in a position to be of any use to Festo when it comes to marketing or we'd be "testers".
