Hi,
I'm about to build a rolling cart for my Kapex, what are the dimensions of the aluminum base?
Of course, I don't have it yet and wanted to get a jump on the cart design.
Please give me the absolute minimum size needed for the TOP of my new cart.javascript:void(0);
Roll Eyes
BTW, what is a comfortable height for the Kapex? I'm 5' - 11" tall.

Thanks!!

Hi webdesigner,

The minimum top size would be 610w x 410d as that is the size of the base itself and the mounting holes and feet are a bit inside those dimensions.  If you add the crown stop wings they will stick out beyond the 610w dimension.  I am 6'1" and find 915 to be ideal for the height of the base upon which the Kapex sits in my studio but working height is very much an issue of personal preference.  Since the handle is vertical, if you set it too hight it makes for a bit of an awkward reach for the wrist.  If too low you are bending over too much.  Best bet would be to try one at a dealer if possible before making your determination as to the height that works best for you.
