Kapex blade guide not returning to position

Hi,

Has anyone seen a problem where the blade guide does not fully return to position after cutting. I noticed it because the laser light did not show through correctly. It's as if the wheel that sits on the side of the blade guard is not correctly positioned to pull the guard back down - thoughts ?

I'll call FESTOOL UK tomorrow and I'm sure they will resolve the problem.

Assuming the "blade guide" you refer to is the transparent blade guard, then yes, it's been reported before. If you try using the search facility (try searching for the two words Kapex guard), then you should be able to find some posts about it, including the threads entitled kapex guard fix and kapex update

UK Festool (TTS Tooltechnic Systems) have returned my call. They will send a courier out to pick it up, take it away, fix and then return... No messing, which is nice. I will let you all know when she returns.

So, whilst not great the blade cover is not returning, so far, full marks to TTS Tooltechnic Systems for getting right onto the problem with no fussing. Very good customer service.
