Kapex blade set deal on woot

Thank you! I just ordered as well....had my eye on these for regular price which is a deal versus buying both separate...this is a great deal.  Again, thanks.

I've never heard of it before, but when you go to the site it say "An Amazon Company".

what is "woot"?

I had never heard of woot either.  Woot is an Amazon company & appears to be a site where they sell clearance & overstock items from Amazon.

Woot is an Amazon subsidiary that sells discounted items that may be Amazon returns or overstocks.  I would carefully check the blades when received for any signs of abuse or damage.  I think Woot provides for 30 day returns.

You’re welcome everyone! My order arrived today and the two blades were still strapped together in their original unopened cardboard sleeves. I assume all of these orders should be filled with new blades; I think Amazon sells returned items as warehouse deals” but I’m not 100% certain if that’s always the case.

I think the bulk of the returned or damaged items are sold on the Amazon Warehouse site.  I bought a wheelbarrow conversion kit (converts Ox Cart brand garden tractor trailer to one big wheelbarrow) at 75% off from Amazon Warehouse.  The box was beaten up, but the product was fine.

Hey [member=67240]tomdog4[/member] blades arrived from Woot yesterday in an Amazon box.  Brand new set in Festool packaging.  $77 savings.  Thank you for the heads up.

Woot has been around for quite a long time, did well, then Amazon bought them. IIRC, they started out with the daily deal kind of thing, plus had some grab bags every so often.

Yes, I still remember the daily deals, one-and-done, back in the day.  The occasional "woot-off", when they'd blow out a bunch of inventory, one at a time; it's actually a very similar model to what Recon does now.

It's been at least 13 years, coming up on 14, since I left the job where I worked when I first learned about woot.  I still have one or two items that I snagged from those days.
