Kapex Blades

We stock these blades and are very happy with them.

Many of our customers prefer them over the festool blades when considering the price vs quality of cut.  The quality is as they say "Just as good as festool" and they wouldn't know it's a different blade without seeing the label.

We also carry blades from Jimmy Forrest.  He's located not far from our shop here in NJ.  He is also our go to guy for blade sharpening and repair.

All nice blades, have used Tenyru and Forrest, loved my Forrest blades. I would go for one of these, as soon as the makers can guarantee their blades are designed with consideration for the dust collection of Festool. And are the same exact measurements as the Kapex blades. The way I look at it: the Festool blades are not throw-aways, they are really nice blades so why change. They can be sharpened..AND.....They are allegedly specifically designed to work with the dust collection system; so until then I stick with the Festool blades. I admit, I am not in love with the 60 tooth blade that comes with the saw, but thats not because it's crappy. I just have a preference for higher tooth count blades. A ZCI solves any issues I have with tear out.

Unless the dust collection design thing is some Myth whispered to me from the Festool kool-aid guy. Shane can validate how true that is.

If you want a cheap price on a good blade.Try Oshlun 80T 55.00. Oshlun 68T Non Ferrous 50.00 I have them both. I am not a saw blade Guru The 80 tooth very smooth cut. The non Ferrous cuts aluminum and Plexiglass very well .I use the 80T everyday The non Ferrous a few cuts on Alum.

I have a Tenyru rip blade for my Ts-55.  I bought it when the Festool Panther was a 2.5 MM kerf.  I have been very satisfied with the quality and the cut.  Festool has since changed the kerfs to 2.2 MM.

I wish that they would change the kerf for the TS75 blades too -- not all the same and the Panther is still off from most of the other ones I use...
