Didn't think it would cut 6 1/4 " Box Newel but it did. Had three to cut length now I need to rip one in half.

Oh yeah, flipping the saw , that's the best way. Hard to support everything but it works  ;D

The trick is have some friends hold the material still while you flip the saw over. ; )
