Kapex changes coming?

Hi all,

I visited my local festool dealer today to try out the Kapex. The dealer suggested that there is a change coming to the Kapex 120 based on the feedback about motor issues. He could not specify what the exact change was and when it was coming. He did suggest that if I'm not in a hurry that I should wait a little before purchasing one. Has anyone else heard something of this nature?

Huh, first Ive heard of it, but yea I can see it happening. There really are a lot more people out there having problems with the Kapex than there should be. Theyve gotta do something at some point.

Hope this isn't just a rhetorical question, What about a retrofit to existing 120v units?

If they come out with an updated version to remedy the Kapex issues, that's great, though essentially an admission of a design flaw.  Still a fail in my book if current customers aren't appropriately taken care of alongside the new release. 

First I've heard of this...feels like conjecture but you know what they say...where there's smoke, there's a Kapex.  (sorry, had to)  [tongue]
