I read a post that the UG cart is not compatible with the crown stops -- but the post was a few years ago.  Is that still true?

I bought some crown stops last year for my Bosch CMS, but hardly ever used them, preferring the method that Gary Katz demonstrates on one of his videos.  Are the Kapex crown stops superior to what I could do myself with a board and some clamps?

You can use either the crown stops or the UG extensions on the Kapex, but not both at the same time.

I dont think the cart itself has anything to do with using either, as the saw sits on top of the cart and the crown stops or the UG extensions attach directly to the saw casting

We use the crown stops, but without the black plastic stops.  Instead I clamp a board across with the quick clamps (491594).  They are the same size as the slot that is in the crown stop.  Clamp a nice straight piece of 1x stock across the entire saw and you have a bomb proof proof crown cutting rig.

Looks like that's what I'll continue to do as well.  Thanks.

Or you could just fit the UG extensions the wrong way around and adjust them until you get the distance you need.
