Just purchased the extensions for my Kapex saw and I noticed 2 things on it that I am not aware what they are for. Right at the attachment location on each side on the under side is a slot that looks like it would accept some type of attachment and on the mid to far end of the extension there is a screw knob. Does anyone know what these may be for?

the screw knob is to lock the slide out extension
the slot im not sure but maybe for crown stops

Thanks.....didn't realize it had extensions. As far as the crown stops no good already thought about that and tried them. Which brings up another question. I primarily wanted the extensions because I do a lot of Crown Molding and you can't use the extensions with the Crown Molding attachments anybody have any ideas besides clamping a straight edge across the table?

On a video review of the ug stand (by toolnut I think) they show how you can move or swap the extensions around . Then you slide them towards you so you can fit cornice or crown molding as you call it. The fence when reversed holds the crown in place.

Loosen the screw at the end of the extension, swing the tab up and it works as a stop. Just pull the extension out to the length of cut you need and lock the black knob. As others have pointed out, the black knob releases and locks the extension.

I've been turning the extensions around since I first used the UG and wings. It works really well.

I use the extensions on my CMS and MFT also. The attachment knob is very close on the MFT but it does work.
