Am I doing something wrong ? Only one inquiry for the hose. Everything I have seen says used Kapexs are scare as hens teeth.

I think that the price might be a little high (just my opinion) -- someone spending that much on a saw will probably opt for new unit for not much more.  I know you have some extras, but I am not sure how much that weighs into the purchase.  You might try selling the blade separately and the multiblades stuff and reducing the price of the Kapex -- you might actually come out a little bit ahead or the same with this approach.  Or just be patient until the right buyer comes along.  I have posted tools on Craigslist before that have gone 30-60 days to sell, but eventually they have and at the price I have wanted.

Good luck!

Scot

I had added that I would consider parting it out. I also figured 25% off is reasonable. Ain't gonna give it away.
Thanks for input.

First, I agree what Scot says. Sell it all off seperately to begin with.

You ask $1275 for it all, but this is not a good enough price to entice buyers, as a new Kapex is $1375. That's only a $100 difference.
Buyers don't care about the extras you offer. If they want to go second hand, they will try to do significantly better than a $100 saving.

Second, your math is off.

When I google for new prices I find this: Kapex $1375. KA-UG brackets: $88 for two. Forrest Chopmaster blade about $130. Total: $ 1593.
Your 36mm hose of 1,5m length is worth almost nothing to people. You destroyed its value when you cut it.
The Forrest blade is also worth significantly less than a new blade. People simply don't want to pay a lot for used consumables

If I were you, I'd be really happy to get $1000 for the Kapex, and see what I could get for the rest. If you offer the Kapex for $1000, that would be 73% of the new price. People in America might respond to that. If you were living in Holland, you'd never get even close to that percentage for a used Kapex.

FWIW I bought a very nice Kapex for $900 shipped. On ebay the going price is usually around $900 to $1100 but you can check the history on Terapeak. While they're certainly desirable used it's only if the price is worth losing the warranty which is very good so for the money you're asking I'd buy new from my local dealer and get the support and warranty. Your best bet is to just keep dropping the price until someone bites or you'd rather not sell it. Or do a no reserve auction on ebay and you'll know exactly what the value is.

Alex I beg to differ how is my math is off ? I can't see your reasoning. I did figure 75% off.
Kapex  $1050
Hose $50
Clamps $65 (Multiblade , not UG)
Blade $100
In the States you can't buy hose buy the foot, so I "stole " a piece from my Contractor kit and bought new ends for $44.
So how "worthless"  is a hose that increases dust collection ?
And who would post a price without a "margin" ? :)

You can argue with his numbers all day, but if it's not moving, thats really all you need to know.

Regardless, bundled accessories will always bring less as a group than they would sold seperately.  I always figure a used blade is probably near needing a sharpening at the tune of $20-30 anyways.

Warranty is transferable, so def. mention the date on the saw so folks know exactly how much is left if any.

The kapex should sell at 25% discount, but the other stuff won't.

As orthe hose, as the ends are $44, certainly someone would pay $30 shipped for it, so saying its useless is silly.

Good luck

Hey Steve, you wondered why your Kapex didn't move. I'm just trying to be helpful by pointing out some things potential buyers might be concerend about. I myself have bought and sold dosens and dosens of used Festools and I've picked a few things up along the road I thought I'd share. No sense arguing about it. Take my advice or don't, there's no obligation.

In Ontario, a $1000 Kapex alone  would sell in minutes. They almost never show up and when they do, they're never under that price.  I'd sit tight.

No argument here, just explaining my pricing. I had posted that I would parcel out each piece and was not even getting "offers", hence my wonder.
