Kapex KS120 / KS60: Can it cut dados or Rabbetts

I would like to know if you can adjust the height of the saw blade with a “stop” that would allow me to cut rabbetts and dados with the Kapex

I know I can do this with my Festool router, but would rather use a miter saw

If the blade can come down, then slide back and forth at an elevated height, like 3/8” over the base, that would be great??
 
The Kapex 120 has a built in adjustable vertical stop that can be used to set a depth of cut less than full above the table.  I don't know offhand what the range of adjustment is.
 
There is a caveat to the trenching mode.  Your blade is going to leave a W shape at the bottom with each pass.  If you need the bottom to be smooth, make your cut shallow and switch to a router, rabbet or shoulder plane to clean the bottom.  Alternatively, you can use a different style of blade that has a flat raker tooth, but that might be expensive for a Kapex, and you will need to use a sacrificial fence to limit tearout. 
 
As others have mentioned, the feature is available in KS120 and KS60. Easy to use and adjust.

As mentioned, if you need a perfect dado, either a quick clean up with a chisel or use of a flat headed blade is advised...

Now all I have to do is find out where I can get a KS60 in 120v, Canada or South America.

I checked and evidently no ks60 in Canada , I checked some countries in s America but no ks60

Are the only countries that have them in 220 volts?

If you want a flush bottom use a triple chip grind like the MD260-648 (TCG configuration)

It is actually about 10" because a 2" spacer is needed to allow the blade to cut the back portion to full depth. Basically due to the blade being round.  This is shown on page 19 in the supplemental manual linked above.

Ah ha!

You are right, my bad for the confusion. I just recall cutting boards 12" wide but it was through cuts not accounting for the blade center point.
