Kapex miter clamp

Due to putting a Sacrificial fence on my kapex fence to prevent smaller pieces from launching throughout my garage the clamp (which needs more reach) was hard to raise as it dragged on the fence.  As a result I pulled the bar completely out.  Does anyone know how to put this thing back together??😂 seem to be stuck on the smaller spring as it doesn’t seem to be big enough for the far to slide through it!!

Thanks,

For what its worth.....the loose spring you have looks like it goes behind the long clamping shaft (onto the cylindrical shaped protrusion)

This should help @Medikep

Thank you!!! This helps a lot!  Between the clamp not reaching far enough, kickbacks and flying scraps, this miter saw has been harder than I would have thought to get use to!!

I think you can shave some material off the plastic foot to gain some clearance on the fence side. I've seen guys on YouTube that did that. 🤷🏾‍♂️

I built my sacrificial fence out of a piece of thin phenolic. The clamps clear it nicely. I did have to shave off some material on the low inside area.
