Have owned festool tools since '02 when they came to Ct. I always got the new tools right when they come out , but for some reason I waited on the Kapex . I'm not afraid to spend money there was something about the hype that didn't sit well with me . So I finally get one , bolt it right to the bench in my shop , it has never left that spot , never bounced around in my van or kicked around the job site . Left side is dead nuts square , right side not even close . I have sent tools back to be fixed through my local dealer and those problems were never resolved so we lived with it , but I like this saw , would like to but another but I need things perfectly square , always . I don't know what I'm asking for , maybe some ideas , thanks

It sounds like your fence is outta whack. When I bought mine I had the same issue, the two sides weren't inline with each other. I removed the fence, took it to a flat surface and hit it with my hammer to straighten it out. Now I know what you are thinking and I agree with you. I shouldn't have to do this. I paid a lot for this tool and should not have to "hammer adjust" the fence. But it worked and I'm content.

A few months back I was cutting some aluminum stair nosing and it kicked back, hard. So much that the fence had bent. About an 1/8 of inch. I took it to my bench, hammered it again and boom, back to straight and still square to the base.

You can also address this issue with a diy fence but you will need a jointer
