Is anyone else more than frustrated with Festool and their blatant disregard for their customers who purchased the Kapex with mobile base during their most recent promotion? Unfortunately I purchased mine form a supplier (Beaver Industrial Supplies) where I had to pay for it when purchased. They make no attempt at keeping me informed and why should they, they have my money. During my last conversation with them I was advised that Festool considered cancelling the promotion. The conversation got me thinking could this be part of Festools plan; hold out long enough till people get tired of waiting so they do not have to furnish the merchandise at the price agreed upon.  Realistically pandemic or not they could have started fulfilling these orders. This is a conscious decision to not honor their commitment especially when the merchandise is available albeit for a higher price.
 
It must be very frustrating to have paid and not received what your ordered.  Festool should make good on what they sold you.

One other comment, when choosing between incompetence and a conspiracy, it's almost always incompetence :-)

Luckily I didn’t have to pay when I reserved mine. But like you I’m not happy at all with the delay.
