Looking at buying the miter saw.Really curious if anybody has the stand?pros/cons? ??? ??? [unsure]

Which stand portable or stationary?  I have the MFT/Kapex and am very happy with it.  I just picked up the UG wings to go with the Kapex. Can't wait to try it out.

I've used the MFT stand, own the UG stand. Both with the wings. If you want/need portability, the UG is the answer, shop set up the MFT gives you a some room around the saw.

The wings no matter which stand you get are a great addition to the other tables/stands in the Festool system. (the wings do not fit the pre-MFT-3 tables)

I have the Kapex and UG. The UG stand is great. Awesome way to roll into a job, set up quick and get going. My only issue with the wings is that they aren't wide enough. for x8 or narrower its not an issue, for x10, x12 its a PIA. If you cut a lot of wider stock, clamp an extra width support onto each wing.
I've thought about the Kapex MFT but just don't need it. An original idea was to buy the Kapex MFT and then make my own wings. Reality though is that I'm too busy working to make my own Acc.
The set up is pricey but once you roll it and out of a job a few times and see others guys stare in envy it doesn't matter.

I built Ron Paulks ultimate miter stand and love it!  I was looking at cost more than anything; but, the wide surface has come in handy a number of times.  His plans are for the Kapex and it's a quick build.  Probably not at portable as some, but mine stays in the shop most of the time.

The UG-Kapex with wings is easy to setup & move.  I use it in my shop as I have limited amount of space and it is easy tobreak down &get out of the way.  The wings also fit the MFT/3 which is really handy right of the rail.
