KAPEX spring

Has anyone found a source for a “lighter-duty” spring for the KAPEX; to make it easier for those of us that have a torn rotator cuff to use the chop saw?

I doubt you'll find a lighter spring. Try spraying the spring and pivot with garage door lube. It is designed for torsion springs.

In my "Professional" years I used Lee Spring for torsion springs. They probably have a minimum quantity but they're pretty inexpensive. Another source could be McMaster Carr.
