A weekend or two ago I was at a Festool dealer and bought myself a Festool Toolie.  The tools have been discontinued for a while now, but they still had about six or so left.

I had been looking at Ebay over the weekend and there's a toolie listed that's up to almost $38!  If I would have known, I would have bought all they had and sold them on Ebay!  I still can't get over how much Festools end up selling for on Ebay.  Many times I've seen used tools sell for more than new ones when you add the shipping charge to the bill. ???

Tom.

Tom, I saw that same auction and thought is was unbelievable that anyone
would pay such a high premium for that tool yet it happens all the time.

It seems a bit odd that they dropped it in the first place. I should really go get one before they end up being scalped.

Or, this being eBay, the winning bidder will offer extra to have it shipped to Nigeria, and, in fact, will only have a $1500 money order available to pay for it with, so why doesn't the seller take an even hundred for the part and shipping, and send the remaining $1400 with the tool?

eBay has descended into total silliness, and I wouldn't be surprised to hear that the seller has to re-list it and try again shortly.

Nick,

I thought about buying lumber off Ebay, but wasn't sure if it would look as good as the picture.

What size boards are you buying?

Tom.

I have wondered where everyone gets their lumber. I got some 4/4 red oak from Woodcraft, but just assumed I payed too much for it, I don't know if I did or not though. I have looked at www.internetlumber.com but I was sure there had to be a good place everyone bought from besides a local mill.
