Kreg Automaxx Clamps

Sean,

By chance would you know if the new automaxx bench clamp has a 5/16" thread on the bottom like the old style has?

Because I've used the older version with 5/16" threaded rod and a star knob with some good results and this new automaxx would be another

great addition for my MFT clamping capabilities.  Thanks.

I'm betting they haven't changed that...they're supposed to be interchangeable with the existing clamp plates so I'm betting all in "yes"!

Sean,  Will this be available in the Kreg jig itself?

wondering the same thing (i think), looking for a direct replacement for the kreg master jig much like the bessey Inline auto adjust

I am in on some of these, they look fantastic....I need my pocket screws to tide me over until I can afford a Domino!

Hey Skids,  Your gonna like the Domi!  Domies and pocket screw work great for carcase work.  [cool]

on the front, not the back. The jigs with the clam in front are getting hard to find.

I love my K3 with the handle on the front!  I can't stand the rear handle, always reaching over material...not enjoyable!

These clamps should be great for my setup.
I store most of my clamps by clamping to the ceiling joists of my shop.
All of my kreg clamps are up over head and very easy to reach and to put back when i am finished.
The bummer being that i must readjust from joist to work and back again.
It would be so simple to go from joist to even a couple of thin pieces without having to constantly readjust.

Cabinet Hardware Solutions has been selling this type of clamp for a while. The fellow that owns the company is Craig (Kreg) Sommerfeld's brother. If you're into build cabinets or any other case goods, these guys have developed tools to make life a lot easier.

Cabinet Hardware Solutions has better pricing too.  [big grin] but they do not have the bench clamp  [sad]

have these shipped? if so any reviews?

Amazon shows "ships in 2-4 weeks", the Kreg site says they begin shipping from Kreg June 15

Our first batch has come and gone as of this morning, but Kreg IS starting to ship to dealers. I don't know how good they are with new products and backorders, but we will see.......
