Lamello E2 Edging machine

Does anyone own one of these or has anyone used one of these machines before.

I"m wondering if they live up the the expectations that the video on the Lamello website shows.

They are a little pricey (even compared to Festool standards) but might be worth it if they are THAT good at edge and laminate processing.

I've never seen them and only vaguely recognise the name myself - but I watch all the videos ... I really like the Tanga stuff - would you call that precision angle grinding?

Lamello is very good brand!  They do some nice stuff!  They are xpensive!  Proberly more expensive than festool

Before I purchased the MFK700 I did the research and found these tools and watched the videos but could find nowhere to see or try them. In Canada a company called Normand out of Quebec is a dealer but the tools are special order. I've never seen them even at the commercial woodworking shows. Went with the MFK700 because of the lower price and support.

Well, the thing i like about it is that it does cut the whole edging with the cutter.
It just cuts enough to leave a strip of edging or laminate. Preserving the life of the cutter. Whereas the MFK700
cuts the entire piece of edging or laminate, which dulls the cutter sooner. Imo

The MFK700 when setup properly only cuts the veneer or laminate when used in the same position as the E2. The added benefit in my opinion is that you also get a multi positon router with the MFK700 with the ability to use different bits to give you a greater range routing and edge trimming options. The E2 appears to be a one trick pony only able to do straight or angled edge trimming. If all you need is a tool to do what is shown in the video go for the E2, personally I like the versatility of the MFK700.
