Larger MFT table

Looking at the size of the mft table it would be handy to be able to choose a larger model, rather than having to purchase two standard mfts. Not massive but I think some people would prefer it.

This desire is mentioned on The FOG fairly often.

The lack of interest by Festool executives here in the USA and at TTS HQ in Germany suggests to me their market research indicates the market for larger MFT is so tiny this is not a viable product.

Also, the main MFT carton is at the max size for several economic common carriers. An expansion of any dimension would require freight handling at considerable extra cost to the end user.

The Festool design philosophy for the MFT was to allow it to fit in small vehicles, even if that means a craftsperson needs two or three MFT on site.

Well, yes all of that does make sense and I can see now whay they've so far decided on sticking to their size, but in an ideal world it would be nice to have the option nevertheless
How about a table top that folds or slides underneath itself so that one could flip it out to fuller size? This way it could be folded down to transportable size but still give the benefit of a larger surface if chosen.

Speaking of multiple MFTs, what is the best way to align them?  I've thought about using Qwas Rail Dogs on a guide rail, and verifying alignment by placing the rail on two diagonals of holes.  However, I also am trying to place a router plate (Veritas) between them and trying to figure out the best way to align the top with the two MFT plates.  Unfortunately the older MFT style (with the t-tracks on top) seems better suited to that.

In the future I'm going to build a Roubo bench with some sort of Festool crosscutting capability.  Possibly a replaceable rip cut section as well.

But this of course won't be mobile.
