This Canadian company has earned the reputation as one of the finest retailers anywhere in the world in terms of innovation (through its Veritas) and customer service. Family owned, it is considered a large company (source: Statistics Canada) with 14 (?) retail stores across the country, except Quebec.

Customer service is the pride of the family/owners and Lee Valley quickly became Canada's largest Festool Retailer within a couple/few years (?) it started carrying the Festool brand.

100% of my Festool machines, 98% of my hand tools (in terms of value) and the most expensive machine in my shop (SAWSTOP PCS) all came from this company.

Yes live4ever that’s was my first thoughts. Now just how fast from Reno to the Napa Valley?
Pulling out of New York/ east coast dealers is a little long on time.
I also pull out of Palm Desert dealer takes two day.

Does anyone know if they are offering free shipping?

That is great news. I usually buy locally, but sometimes you have to order and having west coast dealer is huge for me.

Ron... lee valley shipped me a couple of non festool items from Reno Nevada today, I would bet their dc is substantial, there are a lot of large companies shipping from this local area...

Reno to me (SF) is one business day via UPS ground.  I'd imagine it would be within two max. to almost anywhere in CA.

I just ordered a few Tanos Systainers with attic storage lids and they arrived 2 days later in CA on a Saturday none the less.  I wonder what else they are warehousing there?

Hi -

Yes - we have opened a second fulfillment center in Reno, and are stocking and shipping Festool from there. As we also have nexus in NY state, we are required to collect sales taxes for that state.

Shipping on Festool orders over $40 will always be free, and we have a substantial inventory.

We are also stocking the rest of the Lee Valley and Veritas products, but are still working to balance the inventory - it will take a month or two (mostly due to transit times from Ottawa). As of this morning, we have stock of 10071 discrete items.

As we tune our system, we should be able to deliver orders along the west coast within two days.

For those in the Reno area, as soon as we've finished with the warehouse, we will be opening a showroom with the full line of Festool, as well as Veritas, with all other items available for immediate pick-up (but not on display!).

Meh on the Festool sales as FestoolProducts / ToolNut has always taken well care of me.

BUT a Lee Valley showroom in Reno would be awesome! Nice that they stay out of Cali, and close enough to drive over to for the day. Very cool!
