This project is made from poplar stock and has a stainless steel top.  It is durable for all the lego building that will be conducted here and created a unique look.  It is designed to transition as a homework station as they get older.  Full extension drawers feature removable dividers and can transition to file drawers in the future.  The wall to the left was cut out and the shelf was recessed into the back of a walk in closet that had plenty of spare room.

Thanks so much, It's the pictures that sells work for me so I have invested a significant amount of money in camera and lenses.  I am glad that is reflected.  One of the biggest tips I can give is avoid flash at all costs, it drowns out the details in the work.

Good Point, my 6 year old is just starting to really get into them and I have to say I have fun playing with them as well!

Great work.  I am enjoying your projects.  Why mount the slides on the top of the drawer?  I thought that was interesting.

Good call! Nice to track addictions back to child good activities [wink]

Hi Ronnie

Nice build! Sure you made those kids happy.

Would it have been an option to use the Blum Tandem runners for the centre drawer? (see pic)
They sit under the drawer, makes it look even cleaner. I don't know the size of the drawer so maybe this was not an option
i believe the longest pull out is something like 30 inches.

wouldn't mind to have had a room like that when i was a kid.

I have seen those but have not used as of now, this project did not have dove tail drawers so standard full extension glides were more than the customer expected, she just wanted standard 3/4 extension drawers.  These are the #250 rated slides and should hold up nicely.  I do like the blums, but what I haven't liked is they cut out procedure on the bottom back and are much pricer from what I recall.  They do have a nice look though.  For a nice kitchen I think a must.

Wow that came out great!  Wish I had a room like that when I was young, probably not going to look too organized after the boys get in there though!
