This is a live edge table I completed a few months back. The top is Curly Ambrosia Maple, while the base is Peruvian Walnut and Curly Maple. Notice how the "Y" shaped stretcher is secured with a wedged through Domino!

That looks great!  Really well done.  It's got to weigh a lot!

Did you also use Domino's on the center yoke as well?

Curious what finish you used?

Thanks for sharing!

Beautiful table! That stretcher really sets it apart from other live edge I've seen. Bravo!                                                                                            Barry

A class act of tasteful creative design and execution!
my hat's off to you! My local woodworking friends who do this kind of work will really enjoy your pictures when I show them.

Awesome table.  I like the forked stretcher that plays off the crotch in the slab.  Very nicely done.  Thanks for sharing.  Bill

I did not use dominos on the center but I did use the DF700 to cut the mortise holes for the tenons that came off center hub/yoke!. I used 2 coats of Danish oil to seal the slab and make the grain really "pop". Then I used 2 coats of Defthane Polyurethane Gloss for the durability and then a coat of Satin Poly because I have never really liked glossy finishes. The final thing I did was hand sand to level all of the brush marks and then 0000 steel wooled it and put Renaissance wax on it! Thanks to everyone for all of the kind words!!
