Hi all. This my first post. There is a place near where I live that sells locally harvested slabs and dimensional lumber. I picked up this elm slab for a sofa table. I filled the knot holes and large defects with clear epoxy resin. The legs are attached using dominos and a DF500 and DF700 at a local woodworking school. I finally pulled the trigger on my own DF500 over the weekend. I'm excited for all the possibilities.

That looks very nice.  I wish I could buy lumber slabs in the UK as easily as you can in the US / Canada.
I bought a DF500 a few months ago.  It's a great tool, but I find it difficult to remember where the reference points are and which "faces / edges" of the work piece are the reference points.  There are plenty of YouTube vidoes to help.

Have fun!

Regards
Bob

Nicely done and welcome!  I’m after a d500 right after the holiday and before the price increase myself!

That's a nice looking project. The DF500 is a game changer in the shop. You will love it.
