Is there some way i can get a warning before the forum logs me out.

Twice today i was logged out while typing a reply, then when hitting the post button it tells me i cant post because i am not logged in.

The annoying bit is if you then log in what you have just typed has gone and you are back to square one.

Ok no biggy if its one line but i had typed the best long winded response ever seen.Maybe the forum is trying to tell me something!

Do you check the "always stay logged in" box when logging in?

If yes, and you're still getting logged out, then it's an issue w/ your browser/computer.

No i dont check always stay logged in,the PC is pretty much on all day and even though i am told it is my study the whole family use this PC as well as their own devices so i check it to log out as i may not be even home for most or all of the day when the PC is on.

If you check the "Always stay logged in" box , the system will still log you out if you tell it to log you out. That way you won't be logged out in the middle of something but can still log out when you leave the computer. You will need to check the box each time you log in.

Oh well something else for me to remember when leaving home i guess, thanks for the quick responses.

By default, the forum sets a cookie for 2 hours. So, you should remain logged in for a minimum of 2 hours, even if you don't select the option to remain logged in.

If you are not staying logged in for 2 hours, then there's an issue with your browser and cookies.
