Longer shut down delay on CTs when in Auto mode

I'd like to see a longer delay before Festool CTs shut down when in Auto mode. I have a CT22e which I use all the time for sanding. It seems that it's only a couple second delay where it continues extracting after the tool is turned off. A five to ten second delay would help clear the dust in the hose better, IMO. Also this would help when using a dust extractor with a miter saw. I don't have a Kapex, but a Bosch 12" Axial glide hooked up to a shopvac with hepa filter. It collects dust fairly well, but I have a miter station with a dust hood. After a cut, I leave the vac on for about 10 seconds and it collects most of the airborne dust swirling around in the hood. If I shut it off right away, a lot of that airborne dust escapes the constraints of the hood and floats thru the shop.

It would be nice if it was adjustable because I have a 6' hose for the kapex and almost 20' of hose at my work bench

The standard time is too short indeed. Whenever I'm done sawing or sanding and the vac shuts off, dust still comes out of the hose when I coil it up. I like the idea of an adjustable timer.

That fall out dust gets really annoying.

I hope Festool is paying attention to this request its kinda a huge oversight..

I just checked the Bosch dust extractors. They have a 7 second delay to clear the hose after the tool is turned off. Don't know what the delay is on the Festool CTs, but I'm pretty sure it's not that long.
It definitely would be a nice feature to be able to adjust the delay, from say, 5 to 15 seconds, depending on the tool hooked up to it.

Good idea. Maybe I'll consider adding one to my CT after the warranty runs out.

Or...I wonder if it could be an addition? Hmmm....

Agreed.  One fix that I use when sanding is to turn on the vac to manual as I'm removing the pad to suck in the built up dust.  Otherwise there's usually a cloud of dust released into the air when I peel it off.
