Hello,

I like my drill press very well (General 34-01), but it doesn't have a light.  Thus I am looking for suggestions for a drill press light.

My research gives me a few options, and I am looking for suggestions for a good light for my drill press.  Here are a few of the lights I am considering.

1.  Danray snake arm light:

2.  Littlite halogen or led light:

3.  Electrix LED lamp with magnetic base:

So does anyone have a favorite light to add to a drill press?  Suggestions?  Feedback?  I prefer that the light be US or European made--sorry I am a tool snob.

I have this one from Lee Valley (looks a lot like your #1) on my Craftsman and find it very handy, often better than the build-in laser for fine tuning a setup.

I had the Delta magnetic base lamp and currently have the #3 light you show.
My drill press is a Delta. If yours is similar you may have a problem. The issue is that the upper assembly is a somewhat rough textured surface - not a smooth flat surface. Since you are mounting the lamp to a vertical surface, a very strong magnet is requjired to hold it in place. I have yet to find a lamp with a strong enough magnet to really take the vibration and not move or slide. The #3 lamp does work quite well as it has the strongest magnet I have found so far but it still will move on occasion.
