Loose variable speed dial on DTS 400

I Just purchased a DTS 400 and noticed the variable speed dial is a bit loose (I can move the dial axially about 1mm). Is this normal?

I don't know if it is normal or not on that sander. None of the speed dials on my tools wiggle. I suggest you gine Festool service a call  800-554-8741 or your dealer.
