Altho i can't recommend using blade with broken teeth for fine work, I can speak from experience that unless carlessness rears its ugly head in other ways, there is no danger from a broken tooth or two.
i was a mason contractor for many moons and the bulk of my circular saw usee was on form and scaffolding lumber. The wood was almost always impregnated with either/or both concrete and nails. With carbide blades we just sailed into the wood and watched the fireworks. I have cut lumber full of nails with a blade missing 1/3 of its carbide. Some teeth had chips on corner of carbide while others had all of the carbide missing. Paying attention to all other safety factors, i never had a kickback. When the blade started burning the lumber, I just threw away and installed a new one.
Were the cuts always glue joint smooth? NO WAY If i break a tooth in my shop while making toys or cabinets, i would put on a new blade right away.
